My first trade book, Strange but True, comes out October 1, 2019. So I decided that I needed to look like a real author. I set up a hair and make-up appointment. (Something that hasn’t happened since my sister’s wedding). I hired an amazing photographer (and family friend) to take pictures — Aimee Liz Photography. The big day came, and rain threatened. While I was getting all beautified, the sky unleashed a downpour. Uh oh. I really wanted to get my photos done outside! Thankfully, by the time I drove out to Old Stone Church, a beautiful spot on the Wachusett reservoir, the rain had passed. We had the place all to ourselves.
