I just got back from three days delving into my manuscript The Star Wall with Darcy Pattison and a group of other hard-working writers.
Main ideas to take away: I’m going to write an outline (without looking at my original story) including each conflict followed by the emotional reaction, which leads to a plan for action and the next conflict. I always need more emotion, and I think this method will help me make it logical rather than just throwing feelings around.
Also, I’ve got some plot changes to work in… including one big one that will up the stakes for my main character. The more difficult things are for her the better, right?
